The LiveSwitch Contact integration with Simpro allows LiveSwitch Contact (LSC) customers who use Simpro's field service management software to:

  • Sync new contacts between the platforms
  • Launch live calls and request recordings from the Simpro contact record
  • Access the contact in LiveSwitch from the Simpro contact record

Features & Functionality

Add Custom Fields to Contact Records

When the application is installed, four custom fields will be added to your Simpro contact record. If you have existing custom fields, these will appear to the right and below of those.


  1. LiveSwitch Link
    1. Users can select the airplane icon to automatically open the LSC contact record for this individual. On the page that opens, all LSC sessions and projects are linked for easy access.
  2. LiveSwitch Contact ID
    1. The LiveSwitch Contact ID is a reference value that connects the Simpro contact record to the LSC contact record.
  3. Start a Live Call
    1. Users can select the airplane icon to automatically launch a LiveSwitch live call with the Simpro contact. LiveSwitch will use the phone number available when the contact was created. If a contact has multiple Simpro phone numbers on installation, the app will attempt to use the cell phone first. If they do not have a cell phone number, the app will attempt to use the work phone. If they do not have a work phone, the app will attempt to use the home phone.
  4. Request a LiveSwitch Recording
    1. Similar to Start a Live Call, the Request a LiveSwitch Recording can be launched by selecting the airplane icon. LiveSwitch will use the phone number available when the contact was created. If a contact has multiple Simpro phone numbers on installation, the app will attempt to use the cell phone first. If they do not have a cell phone number, the app will attempt to use the work phone. If they do not have a work phone, the app will attempt to use the home phone.

Sync New Contacts Created in Either Platform

If a new contact is created in either LiveSwitch or Simpro, this application will create a new contact in the other system.

If a new contact is created in Simpro with the same phone number as an existing contact in LiveSwitch, this app will update the four custom fields added during the application install. If a new contact created in Simpro does not include a phone number or a valid phone number, a new contact will not be created in LiveSwitch.

If a new contact is created in LiveSwitch, the app will search Simpro to see if a contact with the same number already exists. If a contact does exist in Simpro with the same phone number, the app will check to ensure the custom fields are filled out and will fill them out if they are empty.

If a contact does not exist in Simpro with the same phone number, a new contact will be created in Simpro and the custom fields will be filled out.


Installation

Step 1: Log in to your LiveSwitch Contact account.

If you are not already logged in, go to https://app.contact.liveswitch.com and log in to your Contact account.

Step 2: Go to https://app.contact.liveswitch.com/apps to access the Contact app marketplace.

You can access the app marketplace by going directly to that account or selecting the "App" menu item in the left menu bar.

Step 3: Select 'Connect' on the Simpro App

Note: The app marketplace you see will not include the 'Development' versions of each application.

Step 4: Authorize LiveSwitch to access Simpro

When you select the 'Connect' button, a new tab will automatically open that initiates the authentication process.

First, we will authenticate your LiveSwitch Contact account with the LiveSwitch API. When the screen below appears, select 'Accept' to continue.

Second, we will begin the authentication process with Simpro. Before we kick you over, we need you to input the Simpro domain. The screen should look like this:

To find the Simpro domain, go to your Simpro login page and select the section highlighted below from the URL.

Simpro will then ask you to login and authorize the connection of the app. Enter your Username and Password on the first screen and then select "Yes" on the following.

Note: If you are already logged into Simpro, you may not be asked to login.

Finally, select the organization you would like to connect with LiveSwitch Contact. If you only have one organization in Simpro, like the example below, just select the existing organization and click "Submit." If you have multiple organizations, select the organization you would like to connect before hitting submit.
